Having been awarded with this prestigious eco-label reflects our commitment to adhere to the strict criteria set by the Foundation for Environmental Education. A Green Key stands for our promise to our guests that by opting to stay at Casa José Ricardo you are helping to make a difference on an environmental level. The high environmental standards expected of Green Key holiday homes are maintained through rigorous documentation and frequent audits.

We love Sintra and decided to make a special effort to protect the environment and therefore the climate. The improvements we made ensure that both we, and you as our guest, are “greener”, without loss of quality or comfort, and comply with various environmental Green Key requirements. For instance we reduce energy and water consumption through new and energy-efficient equipment, we sort waste, use environmentally friendly cleaning products, promote organic products, avoid chemical herbicides and much more. Since 2019, we buy all our electricity from 100% green sources.
